Their first login
What your client experiences from the moment you click "Create Client" — the invite email, the temp password reset, and their first look at the client PWA.
The walkthrough
What they get in their inbox
The moment you submit the Add Client form, INGOT sends a branded onboarding email through Resend. The email contains:
- Their login URL (your custom domain if on Business tier, or the train.ingot.fit default).
- A temporary password INGOT generates for them.
- A single CTA — Open INGOT — that drops them on the login screen with their email prefilled.
First-login flow they walk through
- Tap the email's Open INGOT link. They land on the client PWA login screen.
- Enter the temp password. INGOT forces a password reset on first login (the
must_change_passwordflag is on by default). - They pick a new password and confirm. INGOT flips the flag off.
- They're dropped on the Today screen — their main home tab. If you've assigned a program, today's workout is queued up; otherwise they see "no workout today" with a note that you're still building their program.
- An install prompt slides in if their browser supports it (Chrome on Android, Safari on iOS — see Installing the PWA).
If the email doesn't arrive
Most often a typo in the address or the email is in spam. From the client's profile in your dashboard you can re-send the onboarding email at any time. You can also share the temp password manually — just ping them outside the app.
What they see on the Today screen
This is their daily home. Today's workout sits at the top — a big card with the program name, day focus (e.g. "Push day"), and a primary "Start workout" button. Below: recent messages from you, recovery prompts, and a quick link to log their weight.
If you don't have a program assigned yet
The Today screen shows an empty state — "No workout today. Marcus is building your program." Clients should still install the PWA and log body metrics so when you assign the program, everything's already set up.
