Creating programs
The program builder. Week-by-week editable, RPE / %1RM / RIR intensity, reusable as templates, exportable to PDF.
The walkthrough
Four ways to start a program
- From scratch — pick duration, days/week, training split, and start building.
- Duplicate any existing program (yours or a gym template) and edit it.
- AI customize — describe the goal in plain English and Stackd drafts the structure with exercises filled in.
- Spreadsheet import — paste a structured CSV from Tools → Spreadsheet import for bulk creation.
The builder, week by week
Each program is broken into weeks, each week into days, each day into exercises. You're never editing "session 12" — you're editing "Week 3, Day 2." Add or remove weeks any time. Mark a week as a deload or rest week in one click.
Per-exercise fields
- Sets × reps — fixed or rep ranges (e.g. 8–10).
- Intensity — RPE, %1RM, or RIR. Switch the units at the program level.
- Tempo, rest, and coach notes.
- Superset / circuit grouping — drag exercises into a group.
Templates vs assigned copies
The program you build sits in your template library. When you assign it to a client, Stackd makes a separate copy just for them — you can edit either independently without affecting the other. Changes to a client's copy stay with that client. Changes to the template only affect future assignments.
Export to PDF
Hit Export PDF on any program. The PDF uses US Letter, printer-friendly white background, accent swoops, and week dividers with logging columns — inspired by the Jeff Nippard layout. Hand it to a client who doesn't want to use the app.
