Logging body metrics

How clients log their weekly weigh-in, measurements, and body-fat — and how that data shows up in your weekly reports.

The walkthrough

What gets logged

On the Progress tab, clients tap Log Metrics to capture any subset of:

The flow

  1. Open the PWA. Tap Progress in the bottom nav.
  2. Tap Log Metrics — opens the weigh-in form.
  3. Enter weight first (the only field most clients fill). Optionally add body fat or measurements.
  4. Tap Save. The entry lands in your trainer dashboard immediately (realtime) and rolls up into the weekly report.

How trends show up

On the Progress tab, the client sees a chart of their weight over time — line graph by default, with toggle to measurements. Trend lines highlight gains/losses week-over-week.

In your trainer dashboard, the client's profile shows their last 8 weigh-ins as a sparkline, and the auto-generated weekly report calculates weight_change_kg from the deltas.

Units honor the client's preference The PWA stores everything in metric internally but displays kg vs lbs (and cm vs inches) based on the client's profile setting. They flip units in Profile → Units. Your trainer dashboard shows whatever units YOU prefer — no mismatch.

Frequency

INGOT doesn't enforce a logging frequency. Most clients log weight every Monday morning. If a client goes too long without a logged metric, the Progress tab shows a gentle "Time for a weigh-in?" nudge.
